Gary Street is finding new homes for rugby kit in Africa

gary street is raising money for Tag Rugby Trust

Finding new homes for rugby kit in Africa · 31 August 2021

Since 2002, the Tag Rugby Trust has worked in 8 countries around the world. Post Covid, our focus is very much in Zimbabwe. We use rugby as a vehicle to “Build Futures” through social outreach programmes in the community. Sustainability and local ownership are central pillars to our approach.

Story

Hi, I'm Gary Street and I have a long history in many and varied roles in rugby.  From playing in the midlands for Aston Old Eds  many years ago ... to managing the England national womens team ... to my current role with the Harlequins Academy.

I see plenty of rugby kit that is no longer used for various reasons, and by working with the Tag Rugby Trust I have found a way to give it all a new home with people who will be absolutely blown away to recieve it.

My first collection will be going to Uganda and Zimbabwe, specifically to programmes in high density, low income areas.

Your donations will help towards the costs of transporting the kit to its new owners.

Thank you :-)
